If you're visiting Singapore, make sure you don't bring gum. It's against the law. In 1992, Singapore's government banned chewing gum. Meanwhile, back in the Chicago, Wrigley's, worried about the Singapore market loss, actually got chewing gum added to the agenda of the Free Trade Agreement meeting. Amazing how such a simple pleasure is capable of creating such a stir. As a proud American, I'll give you my gum when you pry it from my cold dead... um, never mind.
